When the president of the United States visited Jamaica the only tourist attraction on his itinerary was the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston.

Bob Marley is one of Jamaica’s most famous musical exports of Jamaica.  Not many countries can claim they have created a whole musical genre, Jamaica can, and Bob Marley is the undisputed King of Reggae.

The Bob Marley museum is the former home of Bob Marley details.   It is not his birth place; Bob Marley was originally from nine miles in St. Ann.

The Bob Marley Museum is located on Hope Road in Jamaica.  This location was the former house and recording studio of Bob Marley.  The remains the same as it was back in Bob Marley’s day.

This tour will give you some insight into the reggae stars life and his philosophies.  You will also get to view Bob Marley’s many gold and platinum records.

There is also a replica of Bob Marley’s first record shop and various media clippings from Bob Marley’s last concert.  The culmination of the tour is a 20 minute film providing further insight about Bob Marley.

The former recording studio out back is now an exhibition hall with some wonderful photos of Bob, and a theatre, where the tour closes with a 20-minute film.

There’s another recording studio inside the house, which his sons occasionally use for solo projects.  There are a variety of Bob Marley souvenirs available at the gift shop and if you are hungry there is a one love café on premises that serves Ital snacks and juices.

Bob Marley Studio – Tuff Gong Studio

The Bob Marley Studio more popularly known as the Tuff Gong Studio is located on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston Jamaica.

Tuff Gong has a recording studio and record shop on premises.  This studio is one of the largest studios in the Caribbean.

Tuff Gong offers you a tour where you can have a look at their old and new recording studio and their interactive music room.  You can combine this tour with the Bob Marley museum.
